Heritage in the Highlands

Dumerso lies in the heart of Yirgacheffe, where heirloom varieties and towering altitudes produce coffees known for their florality and vibrant fruit character. Sisters Hirut and Mahder Berhanu revived this washing station and developed it into a source of consistently high-scoring natural lots, shaped by patient drying and rigorous cherry selection.

Tradition & Technique

Ripe cherry is laid out on raised beds, turned frequently, and protected from midday heat and cool nights. This slow, controlled drying concentrates sweetness and preserves the floral aromatics Yirgacheffe is celebrated for—a cup defined by blueberry richness, jasmine lift, and a soft peach-like sweetness.
